Canadian STC on N registered aircraft
Can you put a Canadian STC only mod on an N registered plane?
Im talking about some skis that are only STC in Canada. Are these legal to fly on N registered aircraft in the US?

Re: Canadian STC on N registered aircraft
Given the general level of reciprocity between the US and Canada in aviation matters, it wouldn't surprise me if you could. But the best place to ask is the FAA, as they regulate the N registered aircraft.skymarc wrote:Can you put a Canadian STC only mod on an N registered plane?

You will have to submit a Form 337 for modifications to the FAA. Use the supporting data from the Canadian STC.

Would the owner need approval or just submiting the 337 is fine?

The Form 337 is from the AME signing out the maintenance release. It would be a pretty good idea to let the owner know you're doing it.
