PMs stuck in outbox

Hi does anyone know why PMs sometimes get stuck in the outbox, then end up sending weeks even a month later in some cases?

"Outbox" means the receiver hasn't read the message yet.

"Sent messages" means the receiver has read it.

Yup, that's true.

I think that's why a lot of people post on thread saying "pm'd"....

Not a lot of people realise they have PMs in their inbox.
