What is your highest level of education?

Post by CdnPilotsalary »

Curious to see the results, following the debate on post-secondary education in a previous thread that is now locked. Perhaps we can discuss it here. I know we all have strong opinions on this topic, but lets keep it civil.

One would think some one who is "educated" and busted ass for 3 years  would be more inclined to post more intelligently? Guess not.

Keep in mind that some people have a degree necessary for a previous career and then moved on to aviation, like me.

Not sure what you intend by this. It's not like I ever bragged about my boring programming job of 7 years.

I could not take part in that survey because I did not go past grade eight.

Even though I have less education than this survey I did manage to get all the licenses and had a very rewarding career both satisfaction and monetary.

Therefore it would appear that your education level has very little to do with becoming a pilot correct?

I dropped out of my PhD in the second year due to personal reasons and got a job in the industry as a programmer. Yep, I’m a big failure. I washed out of academia. Hope that makes you feel like a big strong man.

I feel sorry for you ...
My point had nothing to do with your education level but rather reminding you of your position regarding the need for education in view to be successful in aviation... you knew exactly what I meant.

I didn't know what you meant. Don't feel sorry, despite all the bullshit, I'm happy where I am. Life works in funny ways.
