Re: American Express credit card w/lounge access?
I remember hearing a story about a passenger who really worked the system.... He booked a business class or whatever ticket got him lounge access, and had no charge itinerary changes. So every day he checked into the airport, took full advantage of the lounge, then changed his ticket to the next day. It seems that just getting the Amex platinum card would have been much less hassle!

I was advised this morning in YYZ that AMEX now requires a boarding pass to enter the lounge as Feb. 20th. Doesn’t matter if you’re operating and have the card.
Talked to a FA in the lounge and she already cancelled her card. Looks like the sweet rides over!

Beware the roaming pack of GGN pilots in transborder loooking for a new home. They’re probably hungry.

It was always Amex policy that you needed a boarding pass. The lounge is just now enforcing it

we'll now see an increase of phantom booking from employees....

One of the girls at YVR said you could still get in with the priority pass card without a boarding pass. That's included with the platinum card but we'll see how it shakes out. I figured I'd give them a phone call and let them know I intend to cancel at the end of the year otherwise.
