I heard that it is a secret company that is going to be the new Air Canada when the unions bust the old one. They are going to dump everything and start all over again. The thing in Saskatchewan is just a smoke screen. They have to have a company with a Air Operators Licence and OC so this is how they are going to do it. F28's are cheap and nobody want to live in Saskatchewan and there are no airplanes there either so they can keep it all a big secret. This is how they get their foot in the door. A bunch of guys headed by Gerry Schwartz and his Wife are going to buy all of Air Canada's assets at fire sale prices and start up again. This time it will be all non-union and all pilots will not only have to take pay cuts on a massive scale but they will also have to pay for their ppc's. All airplanes will wear an "N" number on the tail so they won't have to pay the taxes and American pilots will bew able to fly them. They will work cheaper. Cruise Relief Pilots will have to work free for the first 10 months. Co-pilots will have to sweep the hangar floors after the hangars are built. They have a bunch of guys that used to work for Carl Millard and they are advising Gerry and the gang how it all works. They will be based in North Battleford. I think. Going to start hauling hanging beef into Mexico and from there will expand into hauling poultry out of B.C.s Lower Mainland. Their main financing comes from a whole bunch of Saskatchewan farmers pension plan money. At least that is what I heard. I think it was on an Avcanada forum somewhere. Any comments?????

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

ahramin, you know about as much as anyone does. There is a startup coming, but nobody knows when. Apparently brochures for the company have already been circulating, but I personally have not seen one. The company is rumoured to be called "Questjet" (how's that for a ripoff), but I will believe all of it when I see an F28 with a new paint job.
