Integra Air B200 Loses Cowling after takeoff

Post by Sneeker »

Copy and past from Cador. I hear there was a fuel leak that wouldn't stop after landing on the side of the lost cowling. Any info on this?

Occurrence Summary
Date Entered:2018-01-25
Narrative:
An Integra Air Beech 200 (BXH555-M) from Medicine Hat, AB (CYXH) to Calgary, AB (CYYC) received clearance for flight to CYYC. Shortly after departure from Runway 21, the pilot indicated they would be returning to CYXH, with no reason given. The clearance to land was relayed to BXH555-M, and the aircraft landed on Runway 21 without incident. The aircraft lost a cowling on departure. The flight service station (FSS) advised the airport and the cowling pieces were recovered after a subsequent runway check.

Please note that for the most part, CADORS reports contain preliminary, unconfirmed data which can be subject to change.

Strange CADOR. I've never been cleared to land at YXH since it's not a controlled airport.

Probably because all the current pilots are jumping off that sinking ship if they can. I wonder how long they will last after they get counter sued by AHS for waisting their time in court? Hard to follow since John deleted the thread for the RFP.

Is it true that the aircraft hasn't flown since the incident?

No, its in YVR now mainly operating the Orca Qualicum scheds. You can clearly see where the cowl has been replaced too, all red engines, with a white cowl on that side.

Any idea what break even would be with them charging $130 a seat?

It looks like the latest thread got deleted as well. I guess the truth hurts.

Alberta Health Services grounded Integra after the cowl incident, not that it makes a difference now that the new contractor is operating our of YXH. I hear YYC was picking up the slack for them in the transition.
