Instructor Rating

Post by boy_aviator »

Hi everyone,

I am pursuing my Flight Instructor Rating currently in YWG.
I just wanted to see if anyone did the same recently and which FTU did they went through? Perhaps you could shed some light on the written exam and the flight tests as well. I have my written scheduled for the 16th and I think I am ready for it but some help/guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The written exam isnt the hardest, just brush up Air Law from CPL, with emphasis on FTU Ops, Class 1,2,3,4 upgrades, requirements etc.
Flight Instructor Guide is very important - Make sure you know it thoroughly for the written. eg - 7 Learning Factors, Use of Visual Aids, Oral Questions etc
Basic VOR ADF.
VFR OTT Requirements in terms of Equipment

Thanks. I gave the first attempt and passed with 88%. It was easier than I thought. Next step: IATRA.
