Re: Hiring
How flexible are the schedulers ?
Do you work a staggered (3 on/3 off) type of roster or more of a 10 days on/10 days off pattern ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Hiring
We bid for schedules in the traditional way so there is no pattern. YOu are guaranteed 12 days off a month and a max schedule of 85 hours. So if you hit 85 hours in 15-16 days you will have13-15 days off. No grey days etc - they are off days. SO you can request specific days off, specific flight etc as in any bidding system.
Re: Hiring
It was mentioned that there will be a jumpseat program soon and other airline travel benefits.
Flair has an internal travel policy as well so you should be able to commute to work - though it will always be standby.
Also, they announced last week that every year the employee and their immediate family will receive one confirmed seat to be used anywhere Flair flies.

Can you bid those 12 days off to be consecutive ?
Re: Hiring
Not sure about that. I doubt it since there are legal day off requirements but you could probably get pretty close. Would also depend on base and the type of flying from that base. Lots of variables.iNCApacitated wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:10 amThanks Soyer,Soyer wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 9:51 am We bid for schedules in the traditional way so there is no pattern. I believe you're thinking of Swoop. Flair pilots improved their situation substantially.Alcoholism wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 10:33 pm Thank you Flair scabs for lowering the industry, apply here to be one.

Re: Hiring
Hi everyone,
Do you know if Flair is planning to open a base in Winnipeg? Is the schedule commutable? Is it possible to have multiple days pairing followed by few days off for example?
Thanks for your infos!

Re: Hiring
Any update on hiring and ground schools for the NG? Also, is the jumpseat program up and running yet?
Re: Hiring
There should be some hiring coming up at the end of May and another class in June.
Re: Hiring
Have you upgraded any of the guys you hired in the last 6-12 months?
Re: Hiring
Well, seniority based if the FO has the required time. But at least 4 FO's, who were hired with the required time before even arriving, upgraded last fall out of seniority since they held the time.
