WJ still flying the 737MAX on Flight aware 16/3/19?

Post by A321 »

Looking at Flight aware this morning 16/3/19 shows 2 737 MAXs over the North American Skies...WJ 1857 OGG-YYC and WJ 2702 YYZ-MBJ.
Other non North American Airlines with some 30 -737MAX aircraft showing up on Flight aware this morning flying over the Middle east, Asia and a few over Europe. Does Boeing have any say in grounding the aircraft that they produce if there is a known problem with the type or is the operator 100% responsible.

The MAX 8 has been ferried to maintenance bases . I would not put much faith in FlightAware to get the aircraft types correct. For example MAX8 C-FCTK is showing on FlightAware as a 737-700NG

What’s the starting wage for a Clamp pilot. Are they part of the one list or do those damn Encore pilots Swoop in ahead of them?

They do not have all the rights to ferry an aircraft for maintenance. They have to apply to TC for that specific aircraft for that specific flight and be able to prove that the aircraft is in an airworthy state. Interesting conversation knowing the present ststus of the Max.

Well we all know it is social media, fake news, mass hysteria, etc that cause the grounding of the MAX. There is nothing unsafe about that aircraft! Yes I speak in jest.
