What happened? Was it a planned fuel stop in Gillam?

Hard landing maybe, notam says disabled aircraft, runway closed till 5z. Not likely a crash, tsb wouldn't allow a/c be moved that fast.

Duel engine failure, landed short of runway on the ice and hit the shoreline. Knocked the gear off and more.

I thought it was around 6pm that this occured. How did you get that info so quick? Assuming you weren't in the airplane...

Sorry, reference to the Manitoba privatization. Stands for Request For Proposals. The government is getting pitched by a bunch of medevac operators to get the province wide contract.

Crashing a plane probably doesn't look good for that, but on the other hand, crashing one without anyone getting hurt is pretty impressive.

Which company was operating the plane?

Request For Proposals. The air ambulance service in Nunavut is contracted to Keewatin and is up for renewal in 2022. Standard Govt. procedure is to request proposals from interested agencies before settling on one that will provide services.

Three major possibilities for a dual failure...
1.)mechanical issues with both engines at the same time (Highly unlikely)
2.) Fuel contamination
3.)Too much Air in the tanks.

To be fair to my fellow aviators, I’d be betting on #2.

Correct that it doesn’t look good for a RFP bid..

Renamed the thread so the title was a little more informative.

Ps: It’s Medical Evacuation = MedEvac
Medi-vac is some sort of weird vacuum, just like shop-vac

In my opinion If it was fuel contamination it would happen much earlier in the flight. How long is the flight from Iqaluit to Gilliam ? 2 hrs ??
