PFO email received, 6 weeks and a few days after the interview.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Sorry to hear that MP. I hit 6 weeks recently and I even checked my junk mail for the PFO. Don’t see anything. Starting to feel like this isn’t gonna workout in my favour.MorePower! wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 3:25 pm PFO email received, 6 weeks and a few days after the interview.
Good luck to everyone else.

What's the consensus on the PFO email? Are you completely SOL? Do they just put you in a pool and pick from as necessary? Allowed to re-apply? Anybody know anyone that got a PFO and then successfully got hired later on?MorePower! wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 3:25 pm PFO email received, 6 weeks and a few days after the interview.

Told I can re-apply in 6 months from interview date. I know a few people that got hired on 2,3rd attempt.TheRealMcCoy wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2019 5:52 pmWhat's the consensus on the PFO email? Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Definitely reapply. People get on 2nd, 3rd attempt. Don't lose the enthusiasm although it's hard not to. From someone not at AC.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Any calls going out to people who interviewed at the end of April?
Cheers!
Cheers!
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I interviewed first week of March, still radio silence my fingers are crossed!
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I know of a few individuals who interviewed mid march, received calls last week of April for a May 20th GS. Just in terms of where they might be for interview vs ground school offering time.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
speedah, were they OTS or PML? I’ve herd they are running lots of PML with a few OTS fill-ins currently.
I interviewed the last week of February. References checked last week of March. No email, no call, nothing. Any idea if I’ve been lost in the shuffle or is this not unheard of?
Brrrrrr...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Taking a look at the May 6 PIT course. Looks like roughly:
16 Jazz
4 GGN
2 Sky Regional
1 Sunwing
1 Thunder
16 Jazz
4 GGN
2 Sky Regional
1 Sunwing
1 Thunder
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Okay so GGN finally flowing to mainline...
Do you know if GS will continue during summer or like Jazz they’ll resume in September ?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Ground schools are planned to run though the summer.
The only ***asterix I would include with respect the the GGN pilots is that they were part of a short lived flow through program from a few years ago (2014/15?) whereby applicants interviewed at AC and GGN, were selected essentially pre-hired at AC before completing their training from 0 TT to 1900 PPC at Vero Beach before flying for 2-4 years at GGN.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
1 year getting your license and PPC, 3 years keeping your nose clean in a Beechcraft, and now Mainline... a pretty fortunate path.
I guess this could possibly be a sign of future recruiting methods, depending on how well these candidates fair/transition to this operation with fairly limited industry experience. No doubt they will be having to work hard.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I wondered why Vero Beach started showing up everywhere all of sudden. Didn't know Air Canada had a cadet program.TheStig wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 7:47 am The only ***asterix I would include with respect the the GGN pilots is that they were part of a short lived flow through program from a few years ago (2014/15?) whereby applicants interviewed at AC and GGN, were selected essentially pre-hired at AC before completing their training from 0 TT to 1900 PPC at Vero Beach before flying for 2-4 years at GGN.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I’m glad somebody answered that, I was wondering the same. Any idea what they offered last night?
