No signs of slowing yet (Job Ads)

Post by BE02 Driver »

I watch the employment page pretty much daily. Not looking for a job, but I find it's a good barometer for the job market.

The last couple days had job ads on page 2 on their second day. Not a whole lot of exposure for these people anymore as the jobs don't sit on page 1 for months on end.

This board had 1 job add added to it every 6-9 months and required 5000hrs and a current Navajo PPC for the opportunity to interview for a position in YPL earning the cost of housing and $400/month in 2003.....when you say its slowing down, its not.

I was reading about the Trente Glorieuses in wiki regarding the period from 1945 to 1975 (or 1973 and the oil crisis, 1974 and the global recession, or 1979 and the energy crisis and the Winter of Discontent) and they actually are reclassifying the period from 1979 to 2008 the Trente Piteuses.

Given the huge economic gains we’ve seen since the Great Recession and the demographics of Baby Boomers retiring and negative native population growth, it will likely be good times for the foreseeable future with only minor downs.

A Transat/Air Canada merger could shut things down overnight.

How? Why?

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Transat runs leaner crewing then Air Canada so, unless Air Canada's parking Transat's planes.

You are assuming that Air Canada will apply the same leaner crew on their whole fleet? Really not sure where you are going with this.

Im saying Air Canada aquiring Transat will require more crews at Air Canada. There was a statement that the merger would slow the hiring. I personally feel itll increase the hiring
