Ground school classes for 2019
Hi folks,
Long time reader of these forums and my first post as I have a question I can’t seem to find an answer to.
Does anyone know how many ground schools will be run for the remainder of 2019? Has the hiring slowed down now with the purchase of WJ until this become cleared from the new owners?
Just asking because I recently interviewed with WEN and my references have been called but haven’t heard back either in the form of an offer or a PFO.
Thanks

Chances are if you didn't get a PFO after the interview your application is chugging along. From what I've heard their recruitment department is a staff of two...

Hey BleedAirValve,
How long ago did you do the interview and after that, how long after did they contact your references?

I think it may be three, but that still reinforces your point.Freeport_Flyer wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:35 amChances are if you didn't get a PFO after the interview your application is chugging along. From what I've heard their recruitment department is a staff of two...

Just patience pls. Recruiting folks are working hard around the clock. Lots of pilots seem to interview. I am guessing that the July 24 meeting will shed some light.
When did you interview?

Generally speaking, your PFO will come in the form of an email within a week of the interview. Also generally speaking, the longer you wait from your interview, the better. Usually takes 3-4 weeks to hear back if the result is positive (or such has been my experience and what I’ve heard anecdotally). Hope that helps

Did Westjet anticipate the new duty regs?
I heard Encore isn't short of FOs with the already GS filled in.
I guess one Gs each month should be what we should be waiting for...

Westjet won’t anticipate shit. Encore is so short of Captains it’s not even funny yet they will not say we have an issue.

Re: Ground school classes for 2019
I applied for both Encore and Jazz and haven't heard back yet. I have ATPL +5000TT, 2500 PIC flown abroad. Everything is converted and ready to go here. I meet all the requirements and I applied for FO and nothing so far.
My last commercial flight was in 2016. Flew here few hours to get the license converted. Anyone here can shed some light why they don't call me for an interview or what should I do? Thanks
