Company Description

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Rilpa Enterprises is a leading helicopter parts, maintenance and leasing company in the aviation industry. The company is a family business that has been around for almost 50 years

General Description of Position

Responsible for all aspects of inventory management and control within a helicopter parts, maintenance and leasing company. This will entail navigating a complex corporate and regulatory structure that typically defines the aviation industry.

Description of Job Responsibilities

- Develop and implement inventory operational standards for staff compliance
- Utilize Quantum Control inventory computer system to electronically track inventory flow, scan stock, and reconcile inventory
- Maintain positive work relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth business operations
- Maintain inventory reporting requirements among supplier and sales systems
- Coordinate the supply of goods to customers to ensure complete orders and timely delivery
- Address and resolve staff or client complaints/grievances to protect the reputation of the company and ensure a satisfied clientele
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to maintain information required for periodic inventory reconciliation
- Oversee and supervise the shipper/receiver/stores personnel including hiring, orientation, and training
- Assign and delegate job tasks to inventory personnel to ensure operational objectives are achieved
- Provide recommendations to management on operational policies and objectives required for improved performance
- Review inventory to determine the need for stock replenishment to support parts sales, maintenance and leasing business lines
- Develop and optimize current inventory systems within a complex corporate and operational structure
- Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
- Analyze inventory to anticipate future needs
- Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
- Sort and store items according to established procedures.
- Update, control and maintain computerized inventory records, take physical count periodically and check against inventory control totals using computer.

Other Duties as Assigned

Other duties could include working in areas of the company to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other areas

Technical knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Experience with deliveries, inventory control procedures and international shipping
- Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- Knowledge of aviation parts certification/traceability
- Knowledge of aviation parts sales including parts pricing
- Able to work in a busy environment & meet deadlines
- Possess excellent organization & keen attention to detail
- Work in a team Environment.
- Proven ability to supervise and train stores staff
- Ability to accurately track inventory and develop reports based on results
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Valid Driver’s License
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Dangerous Goods training/experience (preferred)
- Experience with Inventory Software (Quantum Control software package preferred)
- Previous experience in helicopter and/or Aircraft maintenance is an asset
- Current First Aid an asset
