Max Height to Comfortably Fly Citation Encore

Post by Gards »

Good Day!

Question for all the Citation Encore pilots. What would be the tallest a person could be to comfortably fly the airplane?

Thanks!

Depends on where you hold your height. In the legs or in the torso.

I’m 6’4” , 210lbs and found it tolerable but not comfortable in any way. Thank goodness the plane doesn’t have much of a range because after a couple hours I’m ready to get out!

Better than a lear 35, which I would cut off at 6ft. A friend of mine is 6’2 and he has no issues with the usual 1-2.5 hour legs they fly in the citation. At 5’10 the thought of being 6’4 in a small citation would make me squirmy.

Depends on "where" you're tall..

I'm 6'3" and have long legs, which resulted in some interesting results when it came to V1 cuts... Controllability becomes an issue when your legs are at such angles. Wish I could have cut the seat cushion in half as I was always hitting my head.
