What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?
Hello, have bags of expat Q4 DEC time -
What is Encore offering salary/benefits for Q4 DEC?
If you don’t want to post, please PM me. I am already back in Canada and working another job and I’m interested in the Encore DEC job so I wouldn't mind knowing what they are offering in the first year salary.
Thanxs

A normal T4 is around 100k.
If you work OT you can earn $115K.
If you are a training captain and work OT and work your ass off. $130K.

If you have ‘bags of q400 time ‘, then why in the world would you be applying to Encore?
Have you not done any research into the upcoming and current issues with WJ-Encore and the flow?
You may get a job quickly at Encore, and then be unable to move to WJ in a timely manner.
Apply at AC right now. There were 800+ vacancies on the last bid! Apply at Jazz and your pathway to AC is more certain with better WAWCON than Encore.
My 2 cents.
Cheers

Or Porter, they have/had a DEC captain posting.
Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?
You could, but why would you, if career advancement is your goal. So what your flying a Q400 out of the island. Maybe you're looking into the outstations. In the end, there isn't any flow to anything bigger for the foreseeable future. I'd bet nothing till at least 2025.
Ditto for Porter, latest news is that they're changing up the seating configuration (74 to 78), and cutting service to some markets during the winter months. Rumor is that they don't have to fill the slots off the island anymore, so it will free up some planes to do the routes that generate maximum revenue. Maybe they are preparing the books for an IPO? Maybe a buyout? Who knows!tailgunner wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:07 am Have you not done any research into the upcoming and current issues with WJ-Encore and the flow?

That's too bad, 74 comfortable seats was always the big draw to be a Porter customer. Little extra leg room, better cushions.
Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?
I have my doubts about that. They can't fill 74 out of the island for takeoff performance issues in the summer. I don't see why they'd go to 78
Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?
This is purely anecdotal evidence and second hand, but I know exactly 4 people that went DEC at Encore, well experienced, and all 4 left between a few weeks to a few months on-line, all because of the schedule.
Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?
As a DEC I wouldn't bother coming to Encore. You will be working a lot more than anywhere else, pay isn't that great (I know 1000h King Air FOs making more), The FO level is dropping very quickly, no flow to mainline as of now, no One list, 50% of your pairings end with an extension...
Jazz, Porter, Sunwing, Air Transat, Air Canada... All of them are hiring and will give you better benefits/lifestyle.
If you have a family... you'll rarely see them, especially if you commute. Encore isn't what it used to be.
My 2 cents.

New seats are lighter (carbon fiber), apparently TOW is actually lower with 4 extra standard males than with 74 old seats. I doubt they will be more comfortable than the previous seats. they say they're better, but that's to be seen.
Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?
Ah yes I did see that new seat approved for the Q. Interesting

Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?
At the moment Fast Air's FOs (And I'm sure it's the same in some other Medevac companies) make more money than what I used to make at Encore on the Left seat. Of course it involves PerDiems, Mileage, base pay, etc... but at the end of the day take home comes back to the same and some months even higher. So... yeah... And don't get me started on Captains nowadays.7dirty7 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 8:18 pm1000 king air fo making more?
