No flight restriction for cargo. We are still permitted to fly U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. Apparently we are considered an essential service like the trucking industry. So far nearly full schedule except overseas. What will happen when this is all over and if the economy tanks is another good guess.

Sky Regional Airlines just announced voluntary layoffs. I can only assume once the voluntary layoffs are done mandatory layoffs starting from the bottom of seniority up will begin. These layoffs are expected from 90 days and obviously this is an estimate. The source is an internal email. Expect Jazz to follow suit with an update.

Well with an 80% schedule cut, despite all the cost and complexity of the training/retraining/equipment move costs for your most valuable and expensive employee group, at some point you reach that number, where it does in fact save money to do some layoffs. I have no idea what it is and won't speculate. But I would be very impressed, and surprised if there aren't, at a minimum reduced blocks at AC.

From a private flyer, to all you in the industry affected, I sincerely hope this shutdown is short and sharp, and people quickly return to travelling again as they isolate this virus and find solutions.

There are a lot of very smart people working 24/7 on solutions on the treatment side and vaccine side as well.

I do believe we will get this under control, from my study of past outbreaks.
