With the border crossing stopped (reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ5bN4zDneU), how does this work for GA? If you call to notify arrival, customs will disallow you from flying?
I'm not planning to fly south anytime soon, but I was hoping to later in summer. If this ban continues, can a GA pilot be able to visit friends/family in USA or will only reasons considered be medical or commercial?
Just wondering what this means for us.

You're in the same boat a person using a car to go into the USA... If it is essential/business then I guess you will be allowed to go but if for pleasure then I would think they would not allow it.

I can’t believe there is still 1000 people illegally crossing the border every month...and thats ok.

I did a few border crossings in the last two days from Barbados to the US . No issue
From US to Kelowna B.C. With CanPass again no problem. Then today from Kelowna to BFI no issue cleared right into the US.
Not sure what will happen next week, just going day by day.

Until both governments can agree on the framework its still just a proposal, but a friend with CBSA at the Niagara crossing says personal entries by US citizens have slowed to a trickle. Some, when told they must isolate for 14 days, are turning around.
