Good thing the posting does not ask for initial candidates.

I really hope no type rated people are taking the job at the current rates. You should be paid as short term contractor with your own deal. You are incredibly valuable to them since they are unable to train anyone and you will be leaving when the current glut of cargo flying is over. If they were start offering much more lucrative short term contracts I'm sure more of us would be interested.

They started a ground school last week actually. Some people don't have a choice when the alternative is EI.

I am a type rated 76 capt and will most definitely not be submitting an application. It's a slippery slope....

Could offer yourself as a contract pilot, and set your own rates. If they don't want to pay the rates you require, then that's their problem.

Do they typically have training bonds for non-type rated pilots?

I see they are looking Again for short term contracts till Dec 31st. Anyone on this site that commuted to YHM for the contract? Wondering about the days off and schedule. In the spring during first contract I heard all reserve in YHM with no scheduled flying? Thx.
