Kinda off topic, BUT.
The pilot "contract" comes up for renegotiation in the new year. Previous arguments by the pilots for raising the pay for 1st and 2nd year new hires was along the lines of, "If you want people with 4000 hrs, you have to pay more, these people have spouses, kids, houses etc. How can people be expected to move across the country, and then live on that?"
Well that argument is pretty much out the window now isn't it.
This reduction in mins is in part due to AC and Jazz recruiting (I predicted such in a thread on PPruNe months ago), but I find it also neatly timed with the pilot wage contract coming due. This would be a tactic expected of Milton, but Beddoe et al? We'll see what happens I guess.

I only first applied around may or june and haven't really heard anything from it until I got that email.highlander wrote:I haven't gotten the e-mail yet. I hope I do soon. I applied a few years ago when they had the old application id, and then I reapplied when they switched formats. Have you guys been applying for long?
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

Once you have applied for the initial application you cannot reapply. You can only update. I updated my resume but have not received anything else.
Anyone else in this situation. Just curious why people that applied in May or June got this e-mail but the rest haven't??????if that is the case.
