With the new requirements and the subsequent change in the application form online, will those with existing applications have to start over again?

Nope.
I got an email from WestJet asking me to go to a link and answer some questions and then submit it.
No need to start over. :)

Kinda off topic, BUT.
The pilot "contract" comes up for renegotiation in the new year. Previous arguments by the pilots for raising the pay for 1st and 2nd year new hires was along the lines of, "If you want people with 4000 hrs, you have to pay more, these people have spouses, kids, houses etc. How can people be expected to move across the country, and then live on that?"

Well that argument is pretty much out the window now isn't it.

This reduction in mins is in part due to AC and Jazz recruiting (I predicted such in a thread on PPruNe months ago), but I find it also neatly timed with the pilot wage contract coming due. This would be a tactic expected of Milton, but Beddoe et al? We'll see what happens I guess.

I haven't received anything from WJ about updating my current application with those "new questions". When did you get it?

Anyone else get the e-mail?

You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

I haven't gotten the e-mail yet. I hope I do soon. I applied a few years ago when they had the old application id, and then I reapplied when they switched formats. Have you guys been applying for long?

Anyone have any advice. I guess if people were notified on the 14th, it is possible that more e-mails could arrive some time this week (or am I making up excuses)....I guess only time will tell? Advice is welcome

advice for what? it was a computer generated email, and I don't think receiving it or not gives any indication of whether or not they like you as a candidate. if you don't get the email, then just reapply. the computer probably missed your address for some reason.

Once you have applied for the initial application you cannot reapply. You can only update. I updated my resume but have not received anything else.

Anyone else in this situation. Just curious why people that applied in May or June got this e-mail but the rest haven't??????if that is the case.

If you are aren't sure you could call the people department and ask, they are willing to speak to you. Just call the WJ mainline and you will be directed.

good idea, but they will not take calls about online applications

I guess I am curious whether or not other people are in this situation or if it's a computer glitch on my end????

Any idea what the title of the e-mail was or who was the sender? I don't recall seeing it in the junk folder
