I wish everyone would just stay at home and not socialize so I can go see Top Gun II in the theatre before I retire.
Re: Favorite Aviation Movie?
Top Gun II is going to be a historic movie once it makes it to the theatres.BE20 Driver wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:24 am I wish everyone would just stay at home and not socialize so I can go see Top Gun II in the theatre before I retire.
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Air America, Airplane!, Hot Shots!, Blue Thunder, 663 Squadron. Tough to pick one.
It's better to break ground and head into the wind than to break wind and head into the ground.

Re: Favorite Aviation Movie?
Oh and a couple of great WWII movies... The Dam Busters and Battle of Britain. Made in 50s when actual flying hardware was far easier to come by.
Cheers,

Re: Favorite Aviation Movie?
Battle of Britain was made in the 60's. It used real airplanes for the most part. Its a great "love in" for the WW 2 planes.
Dunkirk has some spitfire love in it.
The Blue Max also had lots of "real" flying in it.
I guess I just want to look at the planes .
Those magnificent men in their flying machines is good for antique planes....
American Made if you like the Aerostar.
While not quite movies, the instructional videos for american aviators in WW2 like "welcome to the P47" kinda stuff is neat.
Its a mad mad world is cool for a look at a brand new beech 18 flying through a sign!, without CGI

I want to watch the whole Zero Hour now.

Zero Hour! the movie that Airplane was based on. Suppose to be serious, but after Airplane, it is just so much cheese.

Re: Favorite Aviation Movie?
Great movie. The acting is bad and it’s full of technical holes, but it’s a good story premise and the flying is terrific and almost non-stop. I’d love to see a remake.
