Air Transat suspends ALL operations

Post by boeingboy »

I know for now they say it's temporary - but these things usually have a way of ending badly. I sincerely hope that is not the case. I wish everyone at Transat well.

Damn

Air Canada is saying they'll offer refunds. That might be an olive branch in the hope of attracting government support?

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

What are the chances that Transat actually resumes flying on April 30th?

It’s not coincidental that TRZ decided to ground all flight until April-30 considering all the airlines are doing the same now

Was probably at the request of AC. Most likely we will start flying some routes for them on May-1st.

AC is still flying to Europe. I believe you were running 6 or so flights there weren't you?

In any case - I sincerely hope you are all flying again soon.

No point flying those routes with these huge restrictions. Better off letting AC take the pax and let TRZ “hibernate”.
