This occasion call for celebration: WJ stocks hit $9.50 for a while.
When will Beddoe resign?

Its been going down for 2 years, except when that MD 80 company went out of business. Now its down below where it was before that. I don't even think Beddoe could convince the employees that a better future is on the horizon.

Hmm I don’t think anyone can really predicate the stock market especially so with airline stocks as there are so many variables beyond an airlines control. We are in the slow fall months and the hedge funds are probably dumping their airline stocks driving down the prices. The hurricanes in Florida are not helping either as that market will probably get hit hard due to the damage. Added to that mix many analysts are probably rethinking their positions as the result of the senior management changes going on at WJ. Like everything else in life it’s probably a combination of the above events. As the experts keep telling us diversify your portfolio if you can.

You're absolutely right.
Remember back when everybody was buying up Nortel like it was Halloween candy. Everybody was predicting great things for that company. Analysts were so sure that since Nortel was about 1/3 of the TSE's trading volume, that there was no way for this little darling to crash. Most were sure that if it did it would drag down the entire Canadian economy with it .......
Well, it went from a high of over $120 and now it's worth ....... what?
The company is still here and so is our economy.
I didn't buy any Nortel - missed that boat ... too slow/lazy thankgod!!
Think I'll go and buy some of that WestJet $9 share tho' ....

Ahh I bought into that whole Nortel fairy tale at $20.00 but I'm still riding out the storm as I didn't sell. As far as airline stocks, no thanks, being there done that and broke even. However I know many that lost big time and others that made out like bandits.

Not that this is news to anyone on this forum but rule number 1 about posting stock prices is, NEVER DO IT!!.
It's too easy to make you look stupid (that's easy enough without this)
BTW, WJA is up today ($10.60) but maybe down tomorrow, now do you see?

I didn't think so.

I stopped buying starbucks coffee after their stock dropped in the last weeks. I'm also considering beating up someone from sunco because of the mediocre return last year!

Blastor, we could really use you as an industry analyst. All that insight!!

Didn't you read WJ700's comments? "did you buy some blastor"

Think you're supposed to buy low, ie : "yesterday" or whenever it was 9.60 and be selling today, at 11.50 or whatever it is...

But, if you want to buy today, in the hopes it reaches $20... Well...

Good luck *gives him the ol' handshake*
