Well I sure hope Mr. Carson is going to host the biggest thank you party for all of those that have helped him get to the success he has achieved.
You think somebody would pick up the phone and call the competition bureau ? to quote a line in the 1993 movie with Harrison ford and tommy lee Jones." that company is a monster with 8 billion in sales". becoming monolithic. in scope don't ya think?
At one point BC had learned its lesson of the dangers of overly relying on one operator. Canada Jet Charters and Westex ceased operations within a couple of years of each other back when Carson was only flying a tired Cheyenne out of YLW for medevac.

Would that still be a realistic option at this point? During similar mergers, they usually seem to be involved before the sale actually happens. The article seems to imply it's a done deal.

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship
Each region just looks at it like “oh EIC only ones one carrier no competition issues” the difference is they now have operations in pretty much every part of this country which allows more flexibility along with ability to try bully other carriers

Wow they must have a hard on for Metros. I think the only operation left with Metros outside of the EIC bubble is Skycare.
They most likely only wanted Carson for the medevac contract/equipment. No point for KC to break up the company and retain those metros at this point in his life.

Perimeter is more of a dash 8 airline than metro one, I doubt they spent 60 million to get some metros. A company with a 1.5 billion market cap doesn’t buy stuff for some cheap old airplanes they buy it for the ability to grow margins. If you have a job at Carson in a non essential role I’d be concerned as I doubt EIC will keep many of those jobs around.
id suggest that alkan, tindi nwa bulk up or start thinkn of consolidation . before eic swallows another in the not to distant future. with canwest likely on the merger eic horizon .
From what I’ve seen, for the most part, EIC let’s the companies manage themselves and they stay out of most of the smaller and operational decision making. As a pilot at an EIC company I am content for the most part. But yes it is true that they are an investment firm, first and foremost priority is paying dividends and keeping the shareholders happy so there definitely could be some cuts among non essential personnel if tasks can be shifted around.
