Re: Fall Equipment Bid
No word yet. We're all waiting for it. It should be sometime this week, I imagine. If not, at the very latest, it'll be end of the month.
Re: Fall Equipment Bid
Before end of month as mentioned. I can confirm they have completed the equipment assignment for each pilot and are now in the late stages of finalizing effective dates for newly awarded positions accordingly with final process auditing.RoAF-Mig21 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 8:56 amNo word yet. Re: Fall Equipment Bid
Normally, first 7 days of bid processing period is spent with CRC processing the awarded Positions. Second 7 days are Crew Planning setting Training and Effective dates.
This was a big bid. Lots more work on both phases of the process. Still likely that result will be out within hours or at most a day or two. Vacation bid to follow.

Re: Fall Equipment Bid
Having been given the information since I'm on the outside. Based on all of what I've read, I'd estimate 22nd-26th personally. I've heard the vacation bid will be posted October 1st which would mean the equipment bid results would need a week or so to be out for any adjustments.

I would expect once bid results are published that top 30-35 EMB CA in YYZ will be new on type and top 20-25 EMB CA in YUL will be new on type as well.
YUL top 17 new on type. YYZ top 29 new on type.

Re: Fall Equipment Bid
Me as well from the outsider bits n pieces I've heard.
Congrats to all the upgrades! Makes me happy to hear about them!
Re: Fall Equipment Bid
Worked out well for those who came from Georgian and Sky anyways.
Re: Fall Equipment Bid
I’d like to add my congratulations to the Jazz pilot group for your individual bid awards, but most of all for your success thus far in navigating the severe turbulence created by the global pandemic. Very tough times for sure!
Once again in trying circumstances the Jazz group is the industry leader in showing the way to integrating seniority lists as smoothly and as equitably as possible while securing as many quality pilot jobs as possible.
A job well done!
The turbulence is obviously not yet over but the majority of the storm avoidance for the path ahead is in the hands of science, governments, the regulators and management.
All the best of luck!!
I miss you all,
Ron Exell

6 figures to work from home and say "sorry it's late" and leave it at that after saying "the first at the latest"...
and yes I know they probably aren't working from home anymore...

Re: Fall Equipment Bid
I've been following from the sidelines obviously. Seems that ALPA was good at the updates through email... what's changed? Unless it's such a short delay they won't bother to craft an email.
Re: Fall Equipment Bid
The only immediate consequence of the final award delay is a further delay in commencing the 2022 vacation bid. Not a huge problem since the first vacation interval of 2022 does not commence until January 31 (part of the February schedule month). Therefore, second round of vacation bid must be completed no later than Dec 31 in order to have awarded vacation assigned for February known and included in February 2022 bid packages. If the vacation bid commences by October 15, it should be finished by around Dec 15 or sooner.
Calls have already gone out for upgrade training that will commence in November.
I would expect to see final Equipment Award and Training/Effective Dates within the next 1-3 days. There were numerous errors in the original award. Vacation rosters and bidding schedule out same day or within 24 hours thereafter.
