It would be interesting to see if Omicron people test positive on covid tests. And then see if flu people test positive on omicron tests.

As for the $50 charge, I read once that at least one of the nordic countries, known for its government provided health care does charge a nominal amount for a doctor visit to discourage the hypochondriacs.

Because I’ve spent countless hours waiting in ER’s with my child as a cancer patient, waiting for your sniffles to get looked at.

I’m more than qualified.

They’re going to stop the mass testing very shortly I heard from a pharmacist because they’re running out of tests and the labs are maxed out. Plus they know everyone is going to get it sooner or later and if everyone with a positive test stays home 14 days the economy will shut down.

Maybe we can go back to the simple ways of stay home if you’re sick and go to work when you feel better. Seemed to work fine for the past 100 years.

I have some family that just got the Rona. Of all people in my family the irony was they were the most pro policy, pro mask and they were triple vaccinated. They got the Rona. I laughed. Wished them their mild cold symptoms go away soon. Of course now they are about to have a perspective shift. Give it a week and covid will be just a cold and they will wonder why they were masking and living in fear after being vaccinated.

Your argument is that COVID doesn't exist because your fully vaccinated family got COVID?

Fully vaxxed people can still contract and transmit COVID-19.

A vaccine does not prevent you from getting sick, but it gives your body a serious head start on fighting the virus before you get too sick.

Captainpooping, I have to admit, I really don’t understand how anyone who seems to have a brain cannot grasp the concept or difference of what this pandemic would look like without all the restrictions.
Of course they are experiencing mild symptoms, they are vaccinated and all data points to this as a likely outcome, except for this new variant, “they” are still analyzing the data.
For what it’s worth, I realize as most rational people do, A mask is better than NO mask, an N95 is obviously better and for obvious reasons the powers that be decided not to promote that.
BTW, you sound stupid when you refer to this virus as “ the Rona”
Keep staying healthy and my wish is for this being the last and final wave, like the 1918 flu, 4 waves and done with just slightly more than 10% of the total estimated deaths of the 1918 flu pandemic this time around.
Incidentally, the US has recorded around 200,000 more deaths from Covid than 1918-1920 “spanish flu” deaths, yes there are more people therefore a smaller percentage of the population died however, what didn’t they learn from 100+ years ago?

Ontario is getting 10000 cases a day. Likely much higher since not everyone gets tested. Today there were 5 deaths. That’s like a .05% death rate? And how many suicides and overdoses were there in the last day? Car accidents? This whole thing is a nothing burger of epic proportions. Time to move on…….

Most european health systems charge a user fee to keep the crazies away and it works. This is a very real problem in Canada. But it is truly stunning how so many people have bought the complete Covid hype. It is a classic con. Where have you people been hiding? Have you no real world experience? Why thank you. I seem to have a brain . What specific restrictions are you talking about? There's lots to digest and I think some were good, some were okay and some were completely useless.

Some were implemented early and ended up not making sense as we learned more about covid but we can forgive some of the early reactions. It's more the prolonged stupid ones I don't understand. Do you need a list of pandemic policies that I consider completely useless? I don't think you believe all of the policy was good policy. So if you want to debate it I guess we have to point out what we agree on and what we don't.
