Bitch Moan Whine Complain
I've noticed an increase of suckhole posts lately.
There is absolutely no substance to any of these posts on this forum. All these people do is cry. "Ooh, I am so hard done by, someone please fix my problem". TC hates me, My boss is a prick, the Captain won't let me fly, I'm not making the money I deserve, these planes are junk, the competition is better than us...wah, wah, wah.
It's like a sunday morning comic strip. No substance, all crap wipe.
Christ 99% of all these posts are time fillers, thoughtless mumbo jumbo no intelligence.
What is the real world about anyway?
I've been ramped several times, I've never had a problem. If the aircraft was not properly set up to fly the mission then I am the only one to blame. If I can't buy into the mentality of sub-standard operations that a company expects of me, I say adios-no fuss no muss. Move on, get over the trauma.
If somethings not right, kick the bull in the nuts and fix it-period. Don't come here to this wonderful forum of otherwise decent insight and wisdom and excellent videos and pictures and taint it with your suck-hole blithering.
Those whom I am speaking of know exactly what I am talking about.
All I can say is @#$! off and let the adults run the show.
And no, the irony is not lost on me in this post, somebody had to speak up.

I'm with Croissant Wrench on this one. If all you do is complain about your situation in this industry all the time, then maybe you should look at another line of work. No one is forcing you to stay. Yeah there is a lot of BS in this business but you gotta roll along with it for awhile and pay your dues until something better comes along....................
It what we do best. I put a post on here this week thanking the pilots and crew for a nice flight, not one response. Put a complaint on here about TC or that company up north and the responses go on for pages.
Under the vail of a hidden identity people will do nothing but complain, give your name and this board dries up like Arizona creek. So rave on folks but play nice in the sandbox.

As an avid complainer myself, I believe the following should be pointed out.
Taking it up the a** without so much as a peep is not a virtue. It's people like that, proud of how much people have walked all over them, who have made this industry what it is today.
Remember that, when your boss starts acting like an idiot; you could stand up for yourself, but some a**kisser that came before you made that nearly impossible.

I´m actually glad to see all this complaining. It shows me what the industry is really like. I´m a petroleum engineer with a CPL and was considering getting into the flying game as a career. But with the way the industry is, I can see that i would be happier working in the oil patch and renting a plane for fun. I´m really glad to have learned about the realities now as opposed to wasting 3 years of life in the wrong career and then deciding not to continue. For you who are employed as pilots, I wish you all the luck in this challenging profession. There are some legitimate problems and I wish things were better for you. And for myself as well, as i would prefer to fly then talk about holes in the ground.
Stay above the hard deck!

Im not complainin
I do understand there is tons of bitching. A lot maybe not warranted. I do think maybe some people need to find a diff line or work.. One thing that has always pissed me off and sorry but. "we all have to pay our dues" You people that feel that way....WOW.. so how long are you going to keep saying that.. Let me ask you this.. Is there a time requirement or hour requirement that allows us to "officially" be done with "paying our dues". I am curious. I know a few people that have been "paying there dues" for 7 years ,and 4000-5000 hours. So when are we done. When are we debt free..
And why is that old mentality still around. We all paid $30000-40000 fo our training.. that's not enough. I understand we need to show that we are willing to work.. willing to stick it out.. but ya maybe the first two years.. A ramp job or such. THAT'S IT..
Thank God the industry is changing.. Im sorry for bitchin, but that comment really bothers me.
How long is too long

Aviation is not the only industry where you have to pay your dues. Get out in the real world and get a job almost anywheres and you'll see that the same applies. Complaining about things is like taking a pee in a wet suit, it makes you feel better but often no one else notices.

I know I am opening a can of worms with this one but it’s not the first time people have expressed disappointment with the posts.
There is too much complaining on this site and before a whole bunch of you get on the band wagon once again telling me not to read it stop and think about this for a moment. I would be very interested in knowing what the age's of the people posting on this site is, maybe something that Avcanada should consider because it does give some credence especially when others are reading the various posts. I suspect a good many of the people that post regular complaints are under the age of 30 or around there and like many (not all) in our society they lack the maturity and experience and have this attitude that the world owes them. The people who are truly owed something from our society are the vet's who served, fought and died for our freedom and the people that contributed a lifetime to build this country to where it is now. I wonder how many of you that like to do all this complaining are wearing your poppies and will attend Remembrance Day services.
For those of you that suggested not to read the various posts and those of you that seem to think the point was missed, well I think you missed the point yourselves. I see where some of the regular complainers fail to realize that there are often two sides if not more to an issue and that you fail to look to the people around you who are senior and who have the experience, the wisdom and knowledge to offer you a better insight.
One of the great things about growing up in the fifties and sixties if that we had role models. Yeah there were plenty of things wrong in our society then too but we had respect for our elders, many who had just served to rid the world of insane and fascist’s leaders who felt it was okay to rid the world of an entire race. We looked to these elders and leaders for their wisdom and advice and it was considered before actions were taken, before we spoke up.
Well this is only my two cents, do what you want with it, I hope some will seriously consider what I said. I do not require any future suggestions or PM's stating that I don't need to read the posts, I am well aware of that, its a freedom I do enjoy and exercise regularly.

Cat and Doc do a good job of complaining, as for the PPCs, hrmm, it's a mix of people complaining all sides having their "opinion" on the matter.slowstream wrote: I suspect a good many of the people that post regular complaints are under the age of 30 or around there and like many (not all) in our society they lack the maturity and experience and have this attitude that the world owes them.

As for the Vets, please, they "did not make it to where it is now," and most of them "deep inside" are probably upset about how they are treated, a good chunk of them being screwed out of vet pay, widows being screwed out of it, they can't smoke in their vet halls but the "native" casino's are all smoking. They have idiots from UofT and York calling them nazi's and tossing shit at them. Yeah, I'm sure they're really proud.
No, I think Stalin actually took control of a good chunk.... You replaced one lunatic with another. Nothing more.many who had just served to rid the world of insane and fascist’s leaders who felt it was okay to rid the world of an entire race

What's wrong with complaining anyways? Would have been good to have this forum when the first Ramp rat started whoring himself out, and maybe someone could have complained......

Hey Croissant Wrench,
It is called venting to your fellow aviators. That is what forums and chat rooms are all about....so stop bitching about people bitching, I mean venting!
But then again, most chicks are really good at one thing and that is bitching.

I regularly post on another forum that has nothing to do with aviation, ... cars as a matter of fact. It is rare to see a post on that other forum that is a complaining post. From time to time, there is a post complaining about either cops, or rip offs (either thieves or garage owners). Interesting parallel with our AvCanada posts, don’t you think??
Of course we get to talk about doing dumb things with cars that are fun, modding up cars, which is fun, meeting with other drivers, which is fun, and going to meets and rallies with other drivers, all of which is fun.
None of these things is really possible in the AvCanada forum because anonymity is so important in aviation. The aviation world is so small that you really can’t afford to piss anyone off, as it might follow you around for the rest of your life.
Interestingly, from time to time, I have tried to start some interesting (to me anyway), if maybe pointless, dialogue on this forum, and have been flamed within an inch of my life for putting forward a viewpoint that might not be shared by someone else. Of course on my other forum, this wouldn’t be a problem because after all, ... it’s only about cars, and not something as serious as aviation, ... god forbid.
Anyway, anytime someone wants to talk about glassy water landings, downwind turns, really dumb rules, or really cool mods, lets do it, .. of course you have to promise not to flame my ass, or fire me, if you find out who I really am.
All that being said, if you can’t complain about aviation issues here, where the hell could you complain. Don’ bother to complain to TC, as that will put you in a world of hurt. ( in my experience, TC will, for the most part ignore you, and cannot protect you from the wrath of the person/organization you complain about ... even if it’s themselves ). And maybe some of these issues really need to be discussed, for the betterment of all concerned.

Slowstream;
Using Canada's veterans to somehow bolster your point about complaining is pretty lame. I have the utmost respect for our veterans, as I'm sure everyone on avcanada does.
Strutting about telling us that the reason we are upset has more to do with our age than our individual experiences is pretty pompous.
To me it sounds like you have either been very lucky in your career, or you are one of the a** kissers who love to make the rest of us (who are just trying to make a living doing what we love) look bad compared to you.
If I were a vet I would tell you to smarten up.
