S&J :

First: I've never had to pay a fine.in aviation. My TC issures were with TC officials who were acting in a manner that was better described as thugs instead of TC officials.

Second: I have no need for a Biach, in fact I find that description to be foreign to any aviation position I ever heard of. However you do not need to fly an over ocean flight with me to demonstrate your value as a crew member.

Remember some months ago you were expounding on your superior knowledge as an airman?

Remember I asked you to flight plan Dakar Senegal to Natal Brazil non stop.....remember that the most critical issue is the position of the ITCZ and the angle of penetration through the weather?

O.K. here is all the information you will need. The trip will be flown in October for the position of the ITCZ and the planned G.S. will be 115 Knots.....

I am giving you the G.S. for ICTZ penetration and looking foward to how you would fly the trip such as best altitude for transiting an active ITCZ, and it is usually active at some time of day.

So it will be refreshing to see if you are capable of posting in a manner that would identify you as being an aviator rather that what can only be described as an immature egotist. :D

Captain Juicy...Fresh outta sandwhiches...

So you guys are putting people in your right seats these days? I always thought that seat was for my flight bag, a box of donuts and a copy of juggs magazine.

Cat driver...it is the height of arrogance to think that you can check me out like some one who is already better than me, how would you know?.
Yet, you are at that height making statements about other posters you have never met. How would you know?
I wonder how I would rate you....but Im not that high on myself to think that I could show you a thing or two.
High enough though to rate others and show them a thing or two?

I speak only of the "standard",.... not that I am an example of that standard.
If you are not the 'standard' where do you get off treating others like s**t for not being the 'standard' either?
Most of the people I meet are not worthy of my friendship...
I think you have that backwards.

cpt sweet'njuicy

Were you beaten as a child?

Sounds like you were the loser in high school that everyone picked on. I'm glad I don't work with you, sounds like you are at a high risk for going postal.

Three questions,

1. Do you live in Canada?

2. Do you own a firearm?

3. Is that firearm registered?

snj, so far in this thread you have called me a 'jackass'. Stated you could "smell the copilot in me" it was the "funk of no responsibilty". Expressed that you thought I had a desire to be liked; a "character flaw".

Whatever.

Your sad attempts at 'wit' and 'debate' are, to say the least, boring and a waste of time. Enjoy your sad existence.

I was told by a very wise man many years ago that: anyone can fly an airplane but, it's your attitude that will carry you through the industry. One day your attitude will come back to haunt you CSNJ.

Okay, Okay, I can't resist...
I know your last post wasn't aimed at me but honestly all of us are thinking:

He drives a 1988 Honda with a 7 foot spoiler, squeals his tires in the parking lot and has a personalized license plate reading "IM A PILOT"
Am I right, am I right??

Goes to the bar and tells all the girls: "Nooo I gotta stop drinking now, gotta go flying in 8 hours you know"

(trying to get down to your level to get a point across)

You have no idea how immature you sound.....

(please don't awnser this with "well that was mature")

Why would I want to say anything?

You do just fine all on your own.

O.K. S&J time to put up or shut up.

You are calling others cowards because they use an assumed name.

My name is . ., I am a self employed pilot / mechanic.

What is your name? and where do you work? The city will do.

SnJ. The moderators typically do not tolerate one person using several names. Especially to bad mouth people.

SnJ, you look like a monkey and smell like one too.

In all seriousness, there's nothing wrong with striving for perfection each and every time you fly. At the end of the day there are always things I could have done better; what I try to do is remember what those things were for next time.
But the thing to keep in mind is that we are humans, we aren't perfect and we make mistakes from time to time. On top of that, some people don't have the benefit of experience to fall back on, like having all the checklists memorized to help them along, or knowing the correct frequency to talk to Center in the middle of the bush.
So they have to learn the ropes. As a captain, you have the power to help them learn through the carrot, or through the stick. When I was captain I preferred the former; it just made me feel good. I am also superstitious enough about flying to not want to accumulate any more bad karma than I absolutely have to. If you enjoy being mean to people, our posts here aren't going to change that. If you are mean to people because others treated you the same way, you have the option to break that cycle. Or maybe you're just an ass, I dunno.
When I retire or lose my medical, I don't want to be the guy sitting alone at Tim Horton's. I want a circle of friends to tell lies to, to go drinking with, to share in the experiences I have had.
There are a million different ways of stating something. Try out the nice way even if you are frustrated with your fellow pilot. It decreases the overall level of stress in the cockpit, and you never know when you might need a favor, need the other person to go the extra mile. They will be a lot more likely to want to help if they don't hate you.
I guess in my typical long-winded fashion I'm saying that we all rely on each other in the end. Being professional and being nice aren't necessarily incongruent terms.
Try it out, even if the only reason is that you might want something from them one day. In the end, it doesn't really matter why; lending a hand, being there for someone when they need help is what makes us whole.

This has got to be the most colorful post going. We should thank CSNJ for shaking things up around here. Its good to disagree and if CSNJ posts anger you and reinforce your beliefs on airmanship, good stuff, I say.
