Life is too short
Last Friday a good friend and past partner of mine was going to go for a ride with a friend on their Harleys. He was a motorcycle mechanic on his days off and had just tuned his friends bike. While taking it for a test spin around the block someone backed out of his driveway in front of my buddy. He had no chance to stop. His injuries were many. They are pulling the plug on him this am.
Some times the rest of it seems unimportant.
We are losing a very good and caring man.
Gods speed my friend.

Thanks everyone. He passed away this afternoon surrounded by his family. He was a great guy who loved his Harleys. He rode a 1981 Harley Police Special that he rebuilt from the ground up. He was a customiser of harleys and had built some for famous people. He was also one of the freindliest men that I have had the honour to know. I will truely miss my old partner.

My condolences also, and I wish I could have said it as well as Sulako did.
You are right, life is short and things sometimes come unexpectedly. Two days ago my first instructor, friend, and ex-bush pilot died after receiving fatal injuries in an aircraft crash. Today I found out that my wife was assaulted at knife-point leaving a bank-- the thief got away with a substantial sum of money but fortunately she is OK

Thank you bandaid. Sometimes our losses and pain help bring us together. I saw your message a few days ago, but hesitated writing anything for fear of the words not coming out right, somehow undervaluing the loss of your closs friend.
Meanwhile, in my world, for me the added difficulty is that I am half way around the world from the family right now, so, well . . . . .
And yet life goes on.
