How can we increase the Ng speed or Ng % in a PT6A engine?

Post by Bhupalrai »

How can we increase the Ng speed or Ng % in a PT6A-65B engine? The one I know is Ground Idle Adjustment and High Idle Speed Adjustment at the FCU. Is there any other location that will help to increase the Ng speed while putting the fuel condition lever on ground position?

Sorry, but why do you want to increase the Ng and why can't you just do it at the FCU? I think you need to provide more details.

Load on the engine reduces Ng, so reducing loads will increase Ng. You can reduce the load on the generator, but only so much. You can flatten the prime blade angle. Or you increase fuel flow.

I am quite sure if you look in the AMM you will find the answers you need...
