Is this IATRA Vaild?

Post by Thisisslap »

I was in a ATP course and have written and passed the SAMRA and SARON, but I have only 180TT. Would this mean I have a IATRA?

With 180 hours it's a good idea to learn how to navigate the CARS effectively.

Have a look at 421.40 (3). Specifically all the requirements for an individual type rating.

With your hours, your SAMRA and SARON results are only valid if you graduate from that ATP course. Since it looks like you may have dropped out, you’ll have to write the IATRA if you eventually want a two-crew type rating.

I have already Graduated with that amount of hours and have passed both tests, I was told that the ATPL supersedes the IATRA and the time requirements by a chief pilot at the school. But, I'm still not sure because they might not have experience with it.
