Wasn't the context, pointing during checks ?

Pointing during a check is kind of annoying, but atleast you know he's looking, just not reading through the list with no thought involved.

If your talking about demonstration / effect that's different... ie In order to get this *points* this *points* has to be set using this *points*

...and holy crap ! Look at the " wide tracks of land over there " *points*

People have some serious issues if pointing bothers them that much, I can think of many other things besides a finger aimed at a light that get on my nerves.
