any employment opportunity for foreign pilots?
Former overseas Airline pilot 7000hrs. I am about to graduate from college this August with a three-year PGWP and want to continue my pilot career in Canada with converted TC ATP. I don't have high expectations of my first job here, and I don't mind starting from the bottom again.
Re: any employment opportunity for foreign pilots?
If you have your TC ATPL and the right to work in Canada. It is the right time to apply at the 705, they're hiring !
Re: any employment opportunity for foreign pilots?
I have TC ATP with open work permit.
However, the only obstacle is that most 705 airlines require PR at least.

What's an open work permit?
What country are you a national of?
Re: any employment opportunity for foreign pilots?
It's a work permit that allows you to work for (almost) any company in Canada, and generally has an expiry date.
A03774, when does yours expire?
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Apply to any regional that flies out of the province you’re located. E.g. Pasco in BC, Calm Air in MB, Pascan in QC, etc
They’re all hiring and desperate for experienced pilots. Usually they don’t care about your status, as long as you can stay and work in Canada for the duration of your bond.

A friend of mine went to Encore with only an open work visa/permit if I remember correctly. You should definitely give it a shot. Maybe give HR a call and see what they have for a company policy in this regard...
Re: any employment opportunity for foreign pilots?
Thanks !
It's called the PGWP, a post-graduate work permit.
My PGWP will expire at 2025.
