I'm just wondering what the context/reason is of you asking that? I've def heard they are actually starting ground schools btw.

Likely both. An airline the size of Jazz scores their applicants, puts files in order of highest to lowest score, then draws from the top as needed.

A little of both. There is probably currently guys in the application that met and exceeded the experience requirements. The priority was probably to get them in the door while working on other candidates.

I would say definitly positions. With the right experience you can go direct entry captain on the RJ in YYZ
Re: Is Jazz hiring for positions or for a pool?
I think the last position bid had about 400 spots, with min 90 seats for both capt and FO, on the RJ in YYZ alone, the Q is in the same spot. I'm sure once sept come around and AC starts taking from the Jazz pool there will be even more spots. dont ask me how the DEC will go, because I dont think the company truly knows either.

The results of the bid factor in ‘projected’ vacancies including AC attrition.JZYHZ wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 6:19 am I think the last position bid had about 400 spots, with min 90 seats for both capt and FO, on the RJ in YYZ alone, the Q is in the same spot. With a few minor exceptions, those projections are accurate.
Possible changes are pilots that resign for other than AC, pilots that have applied to AC but do not get hired (max 10%), and FO’s that bid CA vacancies that did not bid for them in the last bid (probably due lack of ATPL).
