One-Days at Air Transat

Post by goingmissed »

Are they available? I assume that bidding is seniority based, so with that assumption, how senior of an FO do you need to be to hold single day pairings?

TIA

Not very, a lot of more jr pilots try to get longer pairing for per diems or because they commute.

You mean to say most Southern destinations are layovers. Or how does it work?

You asked if one-days are easy to get and how senior you need to be to get them. The answer is not very senior. Many bid for per diems to supplement income or because they commute.

There are no layovers down South these days. Lots of turns, some domestic layovers and Europe.

If you’re looking for single day pairings you can bid for them and will definitely have them. It’s mostly junior.

Single day pairings out off YYZ I guess, other bases are quite senior

YUL has the most senior pilots but also is very junior on the bottom end and they are growing the base and there were a lot of transfers. YVR has not had any growth in years.

Does anyone have a pairing list for Air Transat? It would be nice to see what pairings are being offered.

It varies wildly per season, this time of year is not a great example. Anything from 1 day to 6 days.

Releasing that company document would go against any companies policies. On top of that, they change every month like every other company.
