Junior AC commuters?

Post by tbayav8er »

Hi Everyone,

If one were to get hired at AC as a commuter, which position would you try to bid over to ASAP? Anyone know how long new hires are getting full reserve schedules these days....let's say on YYZ A320 or Rouge A320? Or RP?

Thanks a lot for the info!

The last 6+ classes have been all narrow body and will probably continue to be that way for some time.

Last class had

3x B737 FO
6x Rouge 319 FO
2x mainline 320 FO
1x 767 FO
5x 777 FO

Current Class has

7x Rouge 319 FO
3x mainline 320 FO
2x 330 FO
2x A220 FO
15x 767 FO
3x 777 FO

767 seems to have a decent commuting schedule. 6-7 day pairings to Lima, Ecuador…

Widebody positions are only biddable to guys with Jet time. Narrowbody (including 767SF) only for turboprop guys

Commuting is a choice at AC!! Tabarnac

Not a penny should be spent on Commuters. It's their choice!!!

Unless we are capturing flying. Then we should take concessions. We need to capture flying at all costs to make our managers happy so they look good to their bosses.

Otherwise it gets awkward in the suites at Maple Leaf games

Thanks for this! Looks like a fair number of both Rouge and mainline 320. Any idea how long currently a new hire could expect to have a full reserve schedule on those machines? Thanks!

So they expect you to have jet time if you want to bid the 777? But they won’t actually pay you any more than the 320 for the first 4 years? Canada is dogshit. I hope something changes soon.

Psst, Frontier may be hiring Canadians and they pay significantly better than AC, WITH a commuter policy lol.

You're welcome.

Always baffles me. Insiders with completely wrong info.. Do you even go and check on training reports before coming on here and spreading false facts?
