how will Airlines view a diploma in Pharmacy Tech. as Post Sec education?
I believe it would count just like any other diploma. Normally there is a distinction made between a diploma and a degree. Sometime there is a breakdown between diploma and aviation diploma, but other than that. Your diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology counts the same as a diploma in Advanced Basket Weaving involving Runge-Kutta integration methods.

I believe the way that the education component on the AC paperwork worked something like this. Each category was rated on a 0-4 scale.
0-High school education
1-College Diploma
2-Aviation College Diploma
3-Degree
4-RMC Degree or Higher education.
I am not 100% certain if that breakdown is the case but an aviation college diploma was worth more than just a college diploma.

RMC Degree
It's funny, but I have an RMC degree. I really haven't noticed any difference in the treatment in the industry.
Mind you, I have been asked what RMC was during interviews outside of the aviation industry. Another of my favourites was "Oh, you must have enjoyed your summers as a Fort Henry Guard then?" and my favourite was "And why didn't you have a career in the RCMP then?".
I don't know if it's poor marketing on behalf of RMC, but it seems much of the outside world doesn't even know what the place is.
OK, my ranting is complete... back to our regularily scheduled program...

Being born in the right year is worth more points than a Phd in Aeronautical Engineering.
Airlines are a very cyclical industry - either they're hiring, or firing.
If they're firing, they won't care if you're a professor at MIT.
If they're hiring, as long as you've got an ATP and some kerosene-burning experience, you're in, even if you dropped out of high school.

It's just that doing everything twice is starting to get to me!! Why do these institutions not have a fast lane where I can just say, "Ya, I know all that." and they take my word for it?
Hell, they're making me take a grade 10 level english course
