Heard it was on approach to RNY 23. I know the tail # but waiting for it to be released publicly.

The article I read says it was a Grumman Widgeon. Not too many of those around.

It departed Sarnia, The only aircraft in Sarnia of this type is registered to a numbered company, Pilot's name has not been released by transport canada, and the accident happened 5 days ago.

What a shame. An irreplaceable aircraft, and a man's life; all completely avoidable.

The pilot was John Shelley ,65 years old who owned a machine shop in Sarnia, a news article was posted to the local paper.
