oil Filter shortage
Last week , asked my ame if he could do an oiln filter change at 25 hours . His reply sure oil no issue . The filter is a whole different ball game! it a common spin on filter dec 15 before he can get new one. He asked if the oil is clean yes i replied then go to the 50hour and hopefully by then we will have filters Anyone else experiencing aircraft piston engine oil filter n supply issues?

Yes, its been an issue for at least 6 months or so. That said, Aircraft Spruce does seem to be filling orders ahead of schedule. I had a few AA48110-2 filters on back order with an expected ship date of mid November. They showed up at my door last week. A pleasant surprise!
