The Best Of AvCanada 2005
So this one floated around the mod forum last night and got the thumbs up. Rather than always focusing on the bad in our community, why not honour those that stand out as the good? We're gonna run an "AvCanada best of" for 2005. I figured I'd fire it out in the open before it all begins.
Best 705 operator
Best 704
Best 703
Best corporate
Best small company
Best spot to ramp
Best float operator
Best bush operator
Best cheif pilot
Best owners
Best Aviation city
Best FBO
Best AvCanada poster
Best Picture/photograhper
That's all I could come up with off the top of my head. I'm certianly open to other categories. I imagine we'll have to start a temp Best of forum with all the seperate polls running for different categories in there. I'd personally like to open the threads to all comments. If this is to happen, that means there can be zero tolerance to posting any kind of negative remark towards those listed. I'm suggesting some form of temp ban for an established user that spouts crap, and an IP ban for any very junior member.
There will be no worst of, so dont' suggest it. I can imagine it would take about 2.30948 seconds for that to begin the legal threat emails.
So all that out of the way, if you have a category to add, or think one should be removed post to this thread. We'll start nominations for the different categories sometime soon. So save your picks until the nominations start.

Best controller? there was a guy who used to work approach in YYZ, I think he now works out of Montreal I heard him a few times working ottawa terminal. Anyways he has a sligh accent I cannot place it and says 'rog' a lot. Every time we heard him working approach on our way into YYZ we'd say ' oh good the pro is working tonight'
Best FBO - Skyservice YYZ, but i'm biased I was based there for awhile
The others I cannot comment on I don't have enough experience with other companys to float any aside from my own
Cheers

"Rog" as he is known in YYZ is famous for being far and away the best controller in that *delete negative adjectives here* terminal.Scuba_Steve wrote:Best controller? there was a guy who used to work approach in YYZ, I think he now works out of Montreal I heard him a few times working ottawa terminal. I’m still waiting for my white male privilege membership card. Must have gotten lost in the mail.
