Air to Air Frequency

Post by Fishizl »

This is for general conversation between 1 or more ac that are enroute together and don't want to tie up unicoms etc. Is there one for Canada? I'm reading the U.S has one but don't see anything about a reserved Canadian frequency. I see one mention of someone using 123.45. Anyone?

TC AIM COM 1.5 references AIP Canada GEN 3.4. If you go there, you get the following:
AIP Canada GEN 3.4 wrote:For air-to-air communications between pilots within Canadian Southern Domestic Airspace (SDA), the correct frequency to use is 122.75 MHz; in the Northern Domestic Airspace (NDA) and the NAT, the frequency allocated by ICAO is 123.45 MHz.

Interesting, I didn't know that. I always used " the fingers". Thanks for sharing.

I've used cheap suit, and I think there was cheap shoes too but I can't remember it.

If you're on 126.7 some guys say "go up a nickel". That would mean to talk on 126.75 MHz.

Up in northern Ontario, we used to use "Go Canada" as code for 118.67 (1867 year of Confederacy).
