Has nothing to do with the term of the CPA.

40 of the 76 seat jets are vintage 2005/2006 date of manufacture. That is quite old in the world of regional jets.

All of the original AC E190’s are in the desert….. same vintage.

What about a Porter deal? How big are their jets going to be?

Not all of them, but we get the point. But it has more to do with that there is little market for a 97 seat aircraft that burns more fuel than a Max8.

The newest mainline A320 is 2002 and 5 are from 1991-1993. 2 of the 767 are 1989. Those RJs are practically new in AC terms.

True.

But the CRJ and possibly the ERJ were not built for the durability or lifespan of a Boeing or an Airbus. There is no such thing as an 80000 cycle regional jet. D check cost typically exceeds residual value with removable parts sold.

Background check roughly 10 business days after interview/medical.

Call back 2 months after the interview.

Hopefully you'll hear back soon.
Now I wonder if no background check request within 2 weeks means probably PFO on the way.

Good luck to all of waiting.

AC is notoriously slow in their hiring process. It’s not uncommon to wait months from interview to job offer.

Meanwhile I’m hearing Flair and other airlines are fast tracking their hiring process because they want butts in seats as fast as possible.

Just sayin, there’s other options out there, do your due diligence before locking into a single employer and choose appropriately.

I did interview end of November. Still haven’t even got background check request. But no news is good news is what I’ve been told.

Remember to add at least 10 days to the whole process if you interviewed late November early December. I don’t have any contacts in hiring so I’m guessing at the timeline, but company wide but things seem to take a bit longer through the Xmas season.

Did anyone received PFO recently said you did not pass the interview and therefore they will schedule a second interview when they able to do so? Is PFO like that nowadays? Do you need to reapply in 6 month? Thank you and good luck to all.

Is this what you received? If so I'm sorry to hear that but I would definitely reapply as soon as you can. Does it say that in your letter?

Yes, the letter says I did not pass the interview and as such ,they will contact me for a second interview when able , nothing mentioned that I need to reapply in 6month, that is why I am a bit confused if I need to summit a new application?
