This one slipped by quietly. Happened in Argentina....
Incident: Canada B773 at Buenos Aires on Nov 30th 2022, hail strike
By Simon Hradecky, created Sunday, Dec 11th 2022 14:22Z, last updated Sunday, Dec 11th 2022 14:22Z
An Air Canada Boeing 777-300, registration C-FNNU performing flight AC-90 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) to Buenos Aires Ezeiza,BA (Argentina), was on final approach to Ezeiza's runway 11 when the crew initiated a go around at about 1200 feet MSL due to weather conditions. The aircraft remained on the ground in Rosario with visible hail damage to its radome until Dec 9th 2022 before positioning to Hamilton,ON (Canada). The aircraft has not yet resumed service on Dec 11th 2022 14:15Z.
The airport reported the aircraft went through a storm zone with very large hail, which caused damage to its structure.

“Slipped by quietly”? Err, what?
Well done by the crew.
Well done by the crew.
Re: Air Canada 777 Hail Encounter
I noticed you put the company name in the title, unlike your other threads.

Re: Air Canada 777 Hail Encounter
Isn't that funny how Air Canada HAIL! is in the title, yet WestJet Encore has an engine explode in cruise and has to make an emergency landing and the title is "Aircraft disabled on the runway in YLW",
or WestJet takes off with half the aircraft off the runway destroying a whole row or runway lights and the title is "Line up with runway edge".

You're just proving his point for him that you only protect WestJet from coming up in negative google search results, but not any other airlines.pelmet wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 4:49 amYawn…
