Re: YCG
You're more likely to see Pacific Coastal on YZZ - YYC long before Encore ever goes into YCG. Pacific Coastal currently serves YZZ from YVR and has for many years. YYC -YZZ might be an interesting route for WS to try using Link. I think Pacific Coastal has run the Saab into YZZ out of YVR in the past. The route is currently flown with a Beech.

Re: YCG
Pasco apparently cancelling flights to Cranbrook from Vancouver, a near-ish-by Interior town with a population of 20,000. Not sure about adding the Gar if Cranny isn’t working.

Someone get those jetstream 31s back in action. Sounds like a perfect routeSplash wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 2:01 pmYou're more likely to see Pacific Coastal on YZZ - YYC long before Encore ever goes into YCG. Re: YCG
I would love to see the interior of BC connected by good reliable airline service. As it is, there isn't a single decent sized ski hill in Canada that you can just hop on a plane and have a ski vacation. It's such a wasted opportunity for amazing travel and tourism. We definitely have sketchy single lane highways to ski hills though.
Re: YCG
I would love to see more flights into YYC/YZZ. The winter months suck for weather in the valley however. In the winter it is better to drive you Kelowna or Cranbrook if you want to get out/in.
PASCO usually has reasonable fares from YZZ to YVR, but the Jazz flights out of YCG are usually pricey, so once again, its the 3-4 hour drive.

Re: YCG
I think the issue would be that YYZ is unsecured and would be connecting to a secured airport (YYC).Splash wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 2:01 pmYou're more likely to see Pacific Coastal on YZZ - YYC long before Encore ever goes into YCG. Correct the Saab has flown YYZ in the past with some weight limitations in the summer.
