PPC on chieftain?

Post by ellinas »

Hello aviators

Does the PPC on the chieftain average 6-8 hours and what kind of curriculum can one expect to see?

Thank you and fly safe .

I think about 5. Is it an IFR or VFR PPC? Usually it's the same as a group 1 instrument rating plus steep turns and approaches to stalls.

The other thing to keep in mind is that your company will expect you to show up ready to fly and be prepared for the PPC in the minimum time.

5hrs is the minimum required but I haven't seen someone meet the standard in 5 hrs in a very long time. They are just too green.

Easy. It's the same as a multi ride. Don't do anything fast-just take your time with everything that you do.

(Oh, and also don't forget to remove the chocks which I did once on a PA31 PPC.;)

And for the PCC competency check is basically to act
As the FO. Is it the same flight test standards or
Does the company pilot distribute that ?

Thanks again
