Westjet long range aircraft?

Post by J31 »

In Flight International is Clive miss-quoted (nm as apposed to km) or are there some long range aircraft on the Westjet horizon? The -700 has a range of about 3200 nm.

Quote: “Halifax-UK is about the same distance as Vancouver-Montreal,” says Beddoe. “Our new aircraft have a range of 6,000 miles [9,660km]. We’d be crazy not to look at every opportunity for that range.”

I will have to agree with the mixup between nm and km... max range of the 737 series (all versions, before winglets) is 3,200nm, for the 900ER version. After installing winglets, I expect even more range.

Edit: Besides, that's the range of the 767-200ER and 767-300ER anyways...
