Voting is open for TA on merger between ACPA and ALPA International

Post by FL030 »

Let's get this done. I'm hugely impressed with the current MEC for getting us to this point.

I just read that there is a movement at American Airlines to leave APA and join ALPA. Seems the pilots realise that since Delta's ALPA contract is what their CEO is matching, why not join the union that negotiated that contract.

That movement had begun before the CEO made his comments.

ALPA didn't
Captains at AC had confirmed F/J before ACPA was invented. It took ACPA some 20+ years to add F/Os to that list. R/Ps are still forgotten at ACPA.

ALPA / Canadian Airlines had Captains, F/Os and S/Os (there were no R/Ps) always deadheading in F/J.

ALPA doesn't care about junior members

ACPA had the least amount of furloughs than any other airline in Canada during Covid because they cared

I’m assuming this is a sarcastic comment but in case it isn’t, every alpa carrier or airline in general I know of except AC/ ACPA had their furloughed pilots collecting CEWS

AC had the least amount of furloughs due to the costs of a reduction bid when you have 7 equipment types in your fleet.

Don't forget the furlough pay you have in your CBA. Probably the top thing I envy from your contract.

I was furloughed in 1988 and I didn't get squat from crappy C-ALPA. You know the deal when you came here and we all were junior at one point

Plus ACPA gave the furloughs an app they could install on their phone

ALPA will just steal your money and send it to Trump!!

What? Angry birds? Cause they didn’t give them anything they could use. In fact all communication with furloughed pilots was severed and access to the ACPA website was denied.

ACPA is the epitome and personification of leaving junior pilots high, dry and forgotten.

By comparison, ALPA set up the Furloughed Pilots Support Program providing options, support, resources and contacts during that time. $3M was allocated for this.

This made me laugh out loud. Thanks for the chuckle. I also hear that ALPA promotes clubbing baby seals, freezing puppies and putting them into a wood chipper and euthanizing all old ladies who bake cookies.

Got any more bullsquirt to spread? No way accurate, but it sure is entertaining.

And you know we’re having fun with it, right?

Right?

But each time it keeps talking, we get to say more about ALPA vice ACPA.
