Will it exceed inflation of the past years, and account for future inflation?

Calm air has built their own crew housing in many overnight communities while still paying per diems. And they’re above grade (relative to northern hotel). Is it the ritz Carlton with a 24 hr outdoor hot tub? No

So Calm Air will pay FO $44,000 for an ATR in the Arctic - worse than Pacific Costal & Jazz
Flying old aircraft in the arctic should be paying more

If ALPA could only get Calm Air 30% that's horrible.

Over 5 years - even worse.
Does ALPA know that inflation goes up in the next 5 years, could be 20% or more inflation by 2028.
So $44,000 in 2028 will be back to $34,000.

WTF are you going on about. Their 2013-2018 contract shows year 1 captains at 82.39 a credit with 80 MMG. That’s $80000 year one captain, voted in 8 years ago.

FO starting wage at 45$ a credit, so yea that’s $43000. Talk to encore pilots and see what they get paid. It’s arguably not much more.

Again; this is 2013 numbers and Year 1 numbers.

If you look at pilot salaries on google and Glassdoor and CBC then you need to finish your private pilots license and keep up with the times son. Don’t forget that night X-COUNTRY PIC. Do us all a favor and rejoin avCanada with a different username

The silence and lack of details around what was voted on is not reassuring.

Huge opportunity missed for the pilot industry.

I just picture Manager John Schneider looking at the lineup in the dugout.

Flair. Porter. Sunwing. Calm Air. Keewatin. Pasco. AirSprint. All walked up and batted. Hit singles and fielder choices. Trying to do their ‘part’.

Who’s gonna hit something meaningful and cash the industry in? I think we’re still climaxing but timing and leverage will eventually run out.

Hopefully WJ and AC can get some meaningful gains.

It was previously posted in the negotiation forum.

CBC wouldn't post salaries without credible information.

The CBC contacted EIC and ALPA and neither group had an issue with what CBC quoted on the salaries.

Their starting pay for FO is 51.99 per hour at 80mmg. 50k. This was pre new contract. I was told from someone working there that nee contract increased by (they did not say how much) increased per diem among other things. That article is just blatantly wrong.

You’re right. Working together is good.

However, the information you brought to this group is incorrect. The wages are much different than you stated

Pasco starts fo’s at 41.03 and calm started them at 51.99 on the old contract.

Pacific Coastal is advertising minimum of $50,000 per year or $52.08/Credit hour, for a B1900 with 19 seats in southern mostly controlled Canada.
Calm Air is flying ATR72 with 4 times the seats and huge cargo & fuel loads that pilots have to help offload in the freezing uncontrolled arctic.
Pacific Coastal is paying higher than Calm Air, based on what Pacific Coastal and Calm Air company hiring have posted online.

You’re right. Working together is good.

However, the information you brought to this group is incorrect. The wages are much different than you stated

It's not incorrect. As the company itself has let this information posted under their job advertisements.
The company or the union should be the one correcting the info if its wrong. Which they didn't do when CBC contacted them.
This indicates the Calm Air was ok with the $34,000 starting salary, which may have been a negotiating tactic.
The CBC also posted the link to the perimeter contract on the article, this is where the CBC took the salaries from.

Its up to the company and ALPA to post correct information, or to request that incorrect information be corrected.

If a company can't get its job ads posted straight it shows disorganized management.
