States side, DHC-8's are a dime a dozen. Lease costs are on a par with Metro's. Many commuter carriers are dumping them for jets. Upkeep and training are the big kickers. More pilots, tighter rules, Fright Attendants and you cannot run a "Bush style" operation as well as you can with 703 and 704 airplanes.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Unless he plans on operating it through another operator it ain't going to happen anytime this year. Starting a 705 costs hundreds of thousands in paperwork alone. It is also a year long ordeal with TC. If you can't even run a 1900 operation effectively how will you run dash 8's and make coin?

I'm not 100% sure if we're all talking about the same person, but in regards to Ministic, that airline did extremely well until it was sold to the band in good standing...and we all know how that ended.

G.B. has hundreds of thousands...

What was the argument about?

First.....Perimiter does not have a Dash-8, it belongs to Regional 1 Airlines and they operate it, Crew it and do maint. for them.
They have Dash-8's and travel to the highest bidder.
They shut down their sched runs because they make way to much money off ACMI's like Perimiter etc.

Yeah, well in case you haven't noticed, this thread is about a dash 8 at flightcraft and the possibility of GB running it up north.
