Pilot Ryan Chapman posted about a week back:
The Sukhoi is officially a Canadian aircraft!! After 4 long months, GLVE is officially on the Canadian registry and is now Canadian legal. Now it’s time to practice and prepare for the worlds!
That's for the World Advanced Aerobatic Championships in Reno, NV late this year, as he's on the Canadian team. He used to fly a Staudacher.

And yesterday:
Hey everyone - as some of you have seen in the news, I had to conduct a forced landing into a rain soaked field yesterday. Thank you to everyone that reached out to check on me. I'm in pain, but doing well.
74 seconds was all it took from engine issues to end up on my back in the mud (Not fuel starvation and it was mechanical). Was 2nm from the airport and flying straight and level inbound to land.
I'm not seriously injured, but in good spirits. I will fly again when I'm able, and will be flying at the World Championships this year. Plane is damaged, and will release more details soon. Just need time to process and get things sorted including my neck and head.
He also thanked those who came out to rescue him.
These were public facebook posts.
In an aerial photo, it looked like the Sukhoi went about 200 ft on the ground, ending up inverted. [Edit: ...at some point. Maybe light wheel marks for another 100 ft, hard to tell on the photo, but the real ploughing was about 200 ft worth.]

C-GLVE, a privately registered Sukhoi-26 departed Collingwood Regional Airport (CNY3) for a
local flight. After some ground runs the aircraft departed runway 31 and initially remained in the
circuit, afterwards it proceeded over Georgian Bay of Lake Huron and performed airwork, followed
by aerobatics. During this time the aircraft engine began to sputter and lost power. The pilot called
a Mayday on the radio and glided the aircraft to a nearby field, to conduct a forced approach. A
helicopter in the area heard the Mayday call, proceeded to the location and observed the aircraft
on final approach for the field. During the touchdown the wheels dug into the soft ground and the
aircraft overturned, the pilot received minor injuries but was trapped inside the aircraft. The
helicopter landed in the field nearby the aircraft; the two occupants, along with the help of some
bystanders, assisted the pilot to egress the overturned aircraft. The aircraft received substantial
damage.
